We are
living at a time in history when the responsibility for the
stewardship of humanity and the planet is shifting from men
to women. As we face
the challenges of the future, it is clear that women’s
wisdom, values and voices are sorely needed. There is
a global need for women to lead. And women are
leading in unique ways. Not only is the
evidence of women’s influence showing up all over the planet
in an accelerating manner, but I have discovered profound
historic and prophetic contexts setting the stage for this
occurrence.
My
understanding of the historic and prophetic contexts for
this shift has grown exponentially due to my collaboration
with some extraordinary women, with whom I am co-creating an
online initiative and “portal” called Women Waking the
World: reclaiming women’s wisdom, values and influence in
service to all life. This web-based work is our
personal version of the widespread desire many women are
feeling: to contribute to the greater good and do it NOW.
In America
and globally, women are taking action in mounting numbers,
in behalf of our world and our future. We are sustained by
connecting to our feminine essence, our passion, and each
other.
Here is
the historical context for this transfer of planetary
stewardship into the hands of women:
More women
than ever in history now have the education, freedom,
resources, power and will to harness our attention beyond
mere survival issues, and to shift toward the transformation
of ourselves and our world.
This
emergence into women’s freedom and self-expression was a
long time in coming. But there is no turning back now. Over
5,200 years of patriarchal culture’s prescribing and
limiting women’s lives--- to be dependent upon a man, and
stifling women’s voices-- is coming to an end. It is coming
to an end through women, as they reclaim their voices.
Those women
born in the 1940’s and 1950’s are the first generation of
women under this long patriarchal part of human history that
have established self-generated economic autonomy and power.
This new autonomy was supported by the ongoing breakthroughs
born of the Women’s Movement that made pathways for women in
all realms of politics and the workforce.
This
breakthrough generation of women is now postmenopausal.
Postmenopausal women now comprise the largest demographic
group in America. And this cohort of women has found their
voice. I am part of this cohort.
As women
become freer from the demands of mothering and caregiving
within our families, we are turning our caregiving to the
human family and to Mother Earth. Women are choosing to
invest in the greater good, propelled by our increased
education, increased lifespan, economic autonomy and
influence. And younger women are being inspired and
supported to follow along, finding their feminine essence
and making their contributions too.
In America
and globally, women of all ages and in large numbers are
becoming empowered to assist in transforming the prevailing
consciousness of greed, exploitive power and separation,
which is the fallout of over 5,200 years of patriarchy. We
are doing this in whatever immediate and small ways
possible. And sometimes these inspirations turn into large
ways.
One story of
such women serving planetary transformation is that of
Vessels of Peace. These women use meditation, deep
listening, and other practices to discern and follow their
inner guidance, to embody peace personally, and to bring
peace to the planet. Everything they do is by way of this
guidance, and it leads them in profound ways.
The guidance
received by the Vessels of Peace women showed them that
there is a connection between the return of the Feminine and
an increase in personal and planetary peace (see their book,
The 11 Intentions: Invoking the Sacred Feminine as a
Pathway to Peace).
And towards
the end of 2009, their guidance to find a site for a
physical home base led them to my writings about Pittsburgh
PA’s sacred convergence of four Rivers.
These
writings played a significant role in Vessels of Peace
feeling called to move from California in order to establish
their site in the Pittsburgh area. They feel their mission
is in alignment with the predictions that Pittsburgh is to
become a city of spiritual healing and transformation. We
are indeed living in extraordinary times.
Ancient Mayan Glyph Showing the
Transfer of
the Staff of Power to the Spirit
of the Feminine
Glyph shared with permission of Nicaraguan Mayan
Grandmother, Flordemayo,
of the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers
To order a
recording of Grandmother Flordemayo’s teleconference, see
“Resources” and select Samadhi Life
Here is
the prophetic context for this transfer of planetary
stewardship into the hands of women:
The first
prophetic context is Mayan-- as in the Mayan 2012 prophecies
and the Mayan Calendar. Nicaraguan Mayan
Grandmother Flordemayo, of the International Council of
13 Indigenous Grandmothers, sent me the Mayan glyph,
or pictogram, from their ancient Mayan “Story of Creation”
(see image below) that depicts the transfer of the staff
of power from the masculine to the feminine at this
timeframe in history. This power transfer includes that
“power” is being redefined—by women. Power is being
redefined as “power to protect and serve all life,” and as
“power with,” rather than as domination and “power-over
others,” which has been the norm under patriarchy.
Flordemayo
sent the glyph to me in preparation for a teleconference
call for the women in Pittsburgh, PA, after her 2007 visit
here. She wanted to discuss “The Re-Awakening of the Spirit
of the Feminine.” She said that this reawakening and this
transfer of the staff of power are occurring now, as we
approach the 2012 end of the Mayan Calendar.
The 13
Indigenous Grandmothers gathered and established their
Council in 2004, in response to their own visions and
ancestral prophesies, as told in their book and movie. These
prophecies told them that they would be called together at a
critical time in history when their ancient knowledge would
be needed for the survival of the next generations. Their
work is “to awaken people to create a new way of life that
will bring the planet back into balance before it is too
late.” A frequently heard Native American prophecy
attributed to the Hopi is “When the Grandmothers speak, the
world will heal.” The Grandmothers’ work is a catalyst for
this planetary healing. And they are inspiring women (and
men) all over the world to assist this great need.
The other
profound, previously hidden prophecy I recently learned
about is that every 13,000 years, there are spiritually
trained planetary guardians who transfer the guardianship of
planetary evolution between the genders. And this
responsibility has just been transferred in several
locations, via several cultural ceremonies, from the
masculine to the feminine. With this transfer of power, the
life force energy of the Earth—Earth’s Kundalini— was also
transferred. It was moved from its previous 13,000 year
location in Tibet, to its new location in the area of Chile
and Peru, by these same planetary guardians. (See Drunvalo
Melchezedik’s book, Serpent of Light Beyond 2012: The
Movement of the Earth’s Kundalini and the Rise of the Female
Light, 1949-2013).
Does this
completed prophetic 13,000 year cycle have anything to do
with why the Dalai Lama made a stunning statement at a
September 2009 Vancouver peace conference, about women
saving the world? (see “Wake Up Call to Action”
below). Synchronistically, several global male leaders in
addition to the Dalai Lama are responding in support of this
process of transferring stewardship from the Masculine to
the Feminine… whether or not they consciously know about
this amazing historical and prophetic context of the global
need for women to lead.
To understand
what I mean, I invite you to read below, the following
“Wake Up Call to Action.” It says it all. I received it
as a spirit-inspired “download,” as we at Women Waking the
World were finalizing our website launch. It connects the
dots of all the amazing pieces of information that have been
coming together. Please go to our web site (www.womenwakingtheworld.com)
to see the “portal” we have created, that connects the work
of many amazing visionary women who are emerging globally to
assist the great awakening of humanity, and who are bringing
balance and sacred partnership between the Feminine and
Masculine.
The
Wake Up Call to Action for Women Waking the World
Thesacred responsibility of guiding and protecting our
planetary evolution is now being transferred from the
masculine to the feminine. Ancient prophecies actually
foretold of such a time, as depicted in the Mayan glyph
showing the transfer of the Staff of Power to the Spirit of
the Feminine at this time in history.
Many male
global leaders are committed to this process and in fact
state that the role of men at this time in history is to
protect women as we take up this vital work. Here are some
of their words:
It has
been said: “Our planet, Mother Earth, is dying. It is women who are
needed to activate the world soul.” ~Llewellyn
Vaughn-Lee
It has
been said: “Women and the Earth are inseparable. The fate of one is
the fate of the other” ~Thomas
Berry
It has
been said: It is through women that the future will be insured.
~Indigenous
prophecy
It has
been said: “Women have within their bodies a pure and incorruptible
power, of the creation of life, of oneness. Nothing new can
be born without full participation of the feminine.”
~Llewellyn Vaughn-Lee
It has
been said: “We men have had our turnand made a proper mess of
things. We need women to save us. Time is running out.”
~Archbishop
Desmond Tutu
It has
been said:
“The world will be saved by the Western woman.”
~His
Holiness the Dalai Lama
As a woman waking up in
behalf of myself and all life, I acknowledge this transition
of responsibility. I join in claiming my personal power and
authentic voice in this vital time of planetary awakening.
So now,
we the undersigned, as Women Waking the World, say in
response:
I say:
I acknowledge the centuries of imbalance that
have occurred through a left-brain patriarchal consciousness
of separation and domination, which resulted in devaluing
the feminine.
I say:
I acknowledge the polarization and pain
generated by this devaluing of the feminine, and the ongoing
impact it has in myself, my global sisters and brothers, and
the Earth.
I say:
I commit to taking action to reclaim feminine
wisdom, values and influence in the service of addressing
this planetary imbalance, understanding that no problem can
be solved from the same consciousness that created it.
I say:
I commit to taking action to reclaim my
own wholeness. I know that in healing myself, I
contribute to the healing of my sisters, brothers and
the Earth. I begin with the act of deep listening and a
willingness to speak my truth.
NOW is the time for women on the planet.
I
invite you to join this amazing global
transformation led by inspired women…perhaps you are
a part of it already and didn’t even know it.
I want to
leave you with this poem, “The Ancient Ones,” by Patricia
Reis, excerpted from her book,
